We sat down with Harrison Avenue after their set at the weekly Blues Society of Northwest Florida, blues jam at Seville Quarter where they talked about their style and influences.

You know, it is heavily Louisiana influenced. Two of the members of the band are from Louisiana. (Jim George & Gene Labbé) We got together a couple of years ago with the idea that we were going to play, you know, kind of like Blues because we met at the Blues Jam session here at Seville Quarter. And, then we we decided we would start throwing in some more Louisiana influenced Blues and Funk, Meters, that type of music and, Doctor John and we kind of went with that kind of feel for a lot of what we're doing now. And that's it's just pervasive, throughout everything that we play. - Jim George
