Andy Hudson (Editor/Site Wizard)
Currently Listening To:
1. Stormfolk - The Queen & The King
2. Equipment - Raptured Trax, Pt. 2
3. Hot Mulligan - Christ Alive My Toe Dammit Hurts
4. Saturdays At Your Place - Tarot Cards
5. Summerbruise - (I Always End Up) Fighting With The Pencil
"I wanted to start off my submissions this month with a shoutout to Pensacola’s own Stormfolk, who just released their latest album The Queen & The King which if you haven’t heard it yet, stop what you’re doing, and go find it on the streamings. It’s fantastic. I’ve also been discovering new bands within the emo universe such as Equipment, Saturdays At Your Place and Summerbruise. If you’re an emo kid at heart like I am, I highly recommend checking all of them out."
Moth Edge (Editor/Music Hunter)
Currently Listening To:
1. Scream Out Loud - Danger
2. The Autumn Descent - Fairytales Are Overrated
3. Glory Of This - The Fear That Gave Me Wings
4. This Day Will Tell - Making Love Is Easier Done That Said
5. Sky Tells All - Another Break Up Song
"In the whirlwind of 2024, it seems like the year of band reunions and comebacks from hibernation. I've been knee-deep in preparations for the Scream Out Loud 12-year album anniversary bash, diving into Pensacola's archives like a caffeinated historian on a mission. This month, my playlist is basically a Pensacola post-hardcore, metalcore, and emo throwback salad—like a musical time machine set to "OG Legends" mode. It's like Pensacola's music scene is having its own midlife crisis, but in the best possible way and I'm here for it."
Tandra Smith (Social Media Director)
Currently Listening To:
1. Oversight - Take Care
2. Bring Me The Horizon - Kool-Aid
3. I Prevail - Self-Destruction
4. Rage Against The Machine- Bulls On Parade
5. Bring Me The Horizon- Alligator Blood
"2024 is coming in strong with bangers. From Bring Me The Horizon's first single after the departure of member Jordan Fish, Kool-Aid, to Take Care from local favorites Oversight, I've had a fun month flowing between musical genres. We've got another month or so before concerts kick-off in earnest across the area, so I invite you to listen to these bops and the bops of my colleagues before it's time for you to brave the barricade at a local venue!"
Richard NaVarre (Man About Town)
Currently Listening To:
1. Miranda Lambert/Carrie Underwood- Something Bad
2. Jason Aldean - She's Country
3. Chris Young- Raised On Country
4. Luke Bryan - Country Girl
5. Creedance Clearwater - Fortunate Son
"Yup! More Country on The Beatmans Playlist this month! Playing country music with NIGHTSHIFT has me deep into new Country artists and a few oldies. Most of the Country I hear these days sounds like blues/rock to me. I enjoy the Country audience. They are always friendly, out going and big tippers! I hope you enjoy this month's Playlist from Rich "Beatman" NaVarre."
Tim Schaffer (Audio/Video Producer)
Currently Listening To:
1. Capstan - take my breath away // noose
2. Kid Cudi - Keep Bouncin'
3. Electric Callboy - We Got the Moves
4. CHVRCHES - Death Stranding
5. Mom Jeans - Death Cup
"When making this list I just purely asked myself what are my most played tracks since the start of 2024 and this is it. I really took a liking to Capstan since their show at The Handlebar back on the 9th, mainly due to just how incredibly fun and unique their style is that it's hard to define. I think take my breath away // noose is a prime example of their talent in full display on being able to switch genres on the fly within a single song and have you boppin' the entire time. Now if you're wanting to add bouncin' to your boppin' than look no further than Kid Cudi's 2024 gift with Keep Bouncin'. Lets now somehow greatly amplify your need to dance with Electric Callboy's We Got the Moves. Need a breather? Then let's slow it down and get in our feelings with CHVRCHES Death Stranding. Now lets keep these somber feelings going, hold hands, and walk into the beautiful sunset with Mom Jeans Death Cup."
