The Black Dahlia Murder and Dying Fetus Join Forces in Pensacola

Pensacola's ears were left ringing after The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus and more brought incredible lyrical brutality to Vinyl Music Hall on Oct. 26.

First up was Vomit Forth, from Connecticut. The majority of their set was spent in line outside waiting to get in, but that was no problem, as the way the windows were shaking and the bass was booming, it was clear they were putting on a performance of epic proportions.

Following Vomit Forth was Canadian deathcore band AngelMaker. Boasting two vocalists and a plethora of guitarists, the band was definitely right at home on American soil and Vinyl's stage.

After AngelMaker came Spite. You know you're in for a treat when you can see the lead singer growling and grunting backstage in preparation for his set.

The growls continued when he and the rest of his band took the stage. If there was a Super Bowl for chewing the scenery, Darius Tehrani would undoubtedly be the champion. While that saying is typically used in a negative connotation, it's anything but that in this case.

Between crispy breakdowns and ear piercing shrieks, they certainly got the crowd ready for the penultimate band, Dying Fetus. Their set was full of fan favorites and finished with the ever popular song, "Subjected To A Beating".

Finally, it was time for The Black Dahlia Murder.

The Michigan outfit delighted fans with plenty of electrifying songs, including fan-favorite "Statutory Ape" which included the ever popular ape mascot running onstage.

It was clear that the crowd believed that former guitarist and current lead vocalist Brian Eschbach was able to match the intensity and ferocity of the late Trevor Strnad.

Circle pits were forming, people were incessantly crowd surfing and fists were pumping like no tomorrow.

All too soon, the stage emptied along with the venue and we'd bet money that their ears are still ringing.
