The Plot In You at Club L.A.: Visceral, Raw and Sold Out
Sundays are typically for relaxing, spending time with friends and family, or preparing for the upcoming work week.
However, on Nov. 17, Club L.A. was anything but calm and relaxing as The Plot in You rolled into town during their current fall tour.
The Ohio band had fantastic openers, ranging from Philly genre-blending artist Zero 9:36 to Connecticut metalcore band Currents and central Massachusetts band Wind Walkers.
The Plot in You's set began on a country note, with a recording of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" booming through the Floridian venue's speakers before fading out and into the band's first song, "Don't Look Away".
The band's setlist would've delighted any fan, from the most causal who was only there to hear "Forgotten", one of their most current hits or "FEEL NOTHING", their breakout hit from 2018, to the longtime fans who enjoy their older heavier sound with "Crows".
Their performance opening for Beartooth earlier this year was great but there's nothing like the electrifying atmosphere of a headliner, especially a sold out one.
The no moshing and no crowdsurfing signs throughout the venue were happily ignored by their fans, much to the delight of the band.
Towards the end of the set, lead vocalist Landon Tewers offhandedly mentioned that he was a bit under the weather and he would need help singing the last few songs, something that surprised most of the crowd given how easily he interchanged harsh and clean vocals throughout the night. Still, the crowd granted him his wish, nearly rivaling him in volume during the closing song, "FEEL NOTHING".
Want to catch The Plot in You on tour? They've still got a few more dates in the U.S. coming up this year and in spring of next year, they'll embark on a lengthy North American tour in 2025 including stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Columbia and more. Check out their full schedule here.
